Guden Goes Online

Great Neck, NY—Two years ago Galt and Graham & Company designed and produced Guden's web site. At that point, the requirements were to communicate Guden's capabilities and integrate their product catalog database from their legacy system with the new web site. This gave Guden the ability to easily migrate product updates from their existing database to the site's active server pages. And through the front end customers have been able to access product specifications, download PDF drawings, and view FAQs.

Recently Guden came back to Graham & Company and Galt to expand the functionality of the Guden site through improved design, more information, and e-commerce initiatives. The site has been reorganized into two main areas: Products, and Design & Info Center. Within the Products section, customers can still quickly access Guden's wide range of hardware, but now they can request quotations or order these products via a secure extranet on the Internet. The Design & Info Center provides engineers a central interactive location to access design forms, request catalogs and design assistance, read up on nomenclature and hardware related design articles, and communicate with reps and distributors.

The site construction and e-business solution provided by Graham & Company and Galt is based on Macromedia and Microsoft products. A full complement of software consisting of Macromedia Fireworks and Dreamweaver, and Microsoft's SQL Server, Windows 2000, ASP and Visual Basic were utilized to deploy a successful, scalable solution for Guden.
